  • Has SEO brought you many sales?

    Hey everyone,

Quick question — I’m thinking about investing in an SEO company. I’ve done my research and I’m pretty confident they can help bring in more customers. My niche isn’t very competitive, so I think there’s a good chance of ranking high with the right strategy.

The company I’m looking at charges between £500 and £1,500 a month for their SEO services.

Has anyone here worked with an SEO agency before? Was it worth the investment for you?

depends on the agency. we get a good amount of sales from google search and a good portion are high ticket items. for us, the conversion rate is about double the conversion rate via paid ads. could be because the customer was having a hard time finding something we offer and found us searching google

For the past 7 years, I’ve done zero paid marketing. Everything is SEO or word of mouth. I’m in a local service business.

Although, I learnt and did all my SEO. I used to pay for services but I just wasn’t seeing results after 3 years.

I’ve seen SEO work really well, but only when the offer and website are solid, SEO isn’t magic by itself. It just puts you in front of people who are already searching.

A few things to think about before spending £500–£1,500/month:

Can your site clearly show why someone should choose you in 5 seconds?

Do you have real reviews or proof of results?

Are you getting any leads now, even small ones? (SEO tends to amplify what’s working, not fix what’s broken.)

If your niche isn’t very competitive and your service is good, SEO can be worth it. Just make sure the agency shows you how they measure leads, not just “traffic.”

    Best of luck

Mm, honestly ya… if done right, SEO can bring solid long-term sales. But it’s slow, you know… takes 3–6 months to see real results. £500–£1500 is okay if they do proper on-page, backlinks, content, and tracking. Just check their past work, keywords ranked, and if they show data, not just promises.

It really depends on your niche, but I had clients last week complaining they can’t keep up with all the sales they are getting from our SEO campaign.

For the 13 years I’ve been in business, it’s been all referrals and my websites rankings that I optimized myself.

What’s the industry and what are they recommending?

I think it depends on the agency and the location but SEO is a good investment. Also maybe you can check out AI overviews. That’s an opportunity as well. Traffic coming from AI citations is incredible high intent converts at a rate 4-6 times that of organic clicks.

So whatever agency you’re working with, ask it to optimize your content for clarity, structure, and direct answers so you can get LLMs to cite you and not just to crawl. We are in this industry, made a tool for AI optimization, its pretty cool if you want to check it out.

type in the keyword you want to rank for and see the ads, now put that £500 towards clicks and guaranteed traffic vs the possibility of rankings.
