GSC sitemap index not showing all urls
Posted by on August 27, 2025 at 9:09 pmI just joined a small company. They have several site maps. The index sitemap is accepted. The second is too but the 4 after that just show up at 0 urls when … I know for a fact each has 100+ urls.
Which then looking into the page indexing… several hundred are showing up as crawled but not indexed and shows no known sitemap. But the ones showing up as crawled not index’s with no sitemap are the ones that Gsc is telling me has 0 URLs. So I’m very confused. I cleared cache in wp faster cache, I excluded .xsl and sitemap. Resubmitted the indexed sitemap and waiting…advice?

Crawled not indexed means the sitemaps are not the problem. Google found the pages and crawled them, but didn’t think they provided enough value to include them in the index.

This is ALWAYS an authority issue.
u/younes-seo : I scanned your domain in SEMrush – you can check it in Bing Webmaster tools for free – it will probably tell you that you dont have enough valuable backlinks.
