  • GSC Keeps telling me it’s detecting a content injection on my site, even though the issue was resolved

At the beginning of this year, I noticed that a hacker had injected some spam content onto my site thanks to a GSC notification. We removed the scripts and requested a review from Google. This was March, and when the review was updated in June, it said they were still detecting content. All of the dates were the same, nothing new, and confirmed in the code to the live site that there were no scripts. I’ve submitted for review again with GSC, but I’ve noticed that — unlike other areas in GSC where you can submit for review after fixing issues — there is no status listed.

    1. Has anyone had this issue before with Google?
    2. Does anyone know, ballpark, how long I should wait before trying to contact someone at Google? (The GSC forums are pretty useless on this topic.)

It can take many months, in some cases a year, for Google to review these.

I’ve had the same issue. Google took 6 months to review and remove the warnings.
