GSC: Average Position?
Posted by on May 10, 2021 at 7:30 pmIs this calculated as average position for your top page with respect to kw, date or whatever parameter you select or average position of all your pages that rank for said items?
Reason I ask is I rank first page consistently across multiple kw but a few are ranked as 50-70 on GSC so curious if that number is for all pages or just one page (several pages rank in the top 20/50 etc for kw).

Depends.
If you look at keyword reports, average rank is based on the best rank.
If you look at URL reports, average rank is based on the rank of that URL.
