Google Shopping ads not showing in carousel, but 100% Imp% in Shopping tab?
Posted by on March 9, 2021 at 11:47 amOn October 23rd of 2020, our shopping campaign for Ireland dropped by 99% – we were seeing impressions of 5,000+ p/day, and then in a day, straight to no more than 10 p/day.

We found out that our ads stopping running in the Google Shopping carousel, but have 100% impression share in the shopping tab?

Google’s help support has been useless, they couldn’t figure out the problem and have told me they’ll call be back 3 times and I am yet to receive a call.

Are there is errors or warming inside your Google Merchant Center account? The only thing I can think of is competitors have built out a more robust shopping feed and are ranking higher. Or they have that and a better price point then you. Price is a huge ranking factor on shopping.

We run a mix to prevent so much impact of one channel. Display ads (using the google product feed) with [https://www.adacado.com](https://www.adacado.com) , some social, some search, etc.
Tracking is a bit harder that way, but at least cost and overall performance is stable. -
The Impression Share is calculated based on the Impressions you were eligible for, and doesn’t take into account Impressions you weren’t eligible for. For example if you had a -100% bid modifier for a certain time of day, the missed Impressions during that time wouldn’t count towards missed Impressions Share.
What I’m getting at is that if Google is saying you’ve got 100% Impression Share, and you’re only getting 10 Impressions when you know there are actually a lot more available, *something* is making you entirely ineligible for those Impressions. That’s where I’d be starting my diagnosis, looking at reasons that could exclude me entirely. It’s impossible to say specifically where to start looking without having access to the account, though.
