Google pulling through wrong location pages for location search term
A while ago I did a bunch of location landing pages for a client and most of them have been working very well, but I’ve encountered an issue where certain location pages are showing up for the wrong location.
As an example I’ve got a Nottingham landing page which shows up first for the search term “solar panel installation Nottingham” but it’s also showing in results for “solar panel installation Derby” when I’ve already got a Derby landing page, which is indexed as well.
Would anyone know why Google is seeing that page as more relevant? Could it have something to do with links to that page? The content score? Schema maybe? Is there something crucial im missing?
Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks 🙂
