GuestOctober 11, 2025 at 1:19 amIt’s impossible to know to what extent the signals are useful or not, but in this case, I would use signals from things closer to conversion, so I would definitely use abandoned carts.
Do you also use in-market and custom affinity audiences? -

GuestOctober 11, 2025 at 1:47 amYes — include all website visitors, cart abandoners, and product viewers as audience signals in Performance Max. Google uses these to find similar users faster, even though it can still reach new ones. Just avoid over-segmenting; combine your strongest intent lists (past converters + site visitors + carts) into one “high intent” signal for best learning.

If you dont have enough data, then use all the options PMAX provides.
But if you have lots of data and conversions, then you should be mindful of said choices.Hope it helps

GuestOctober 11, 2025 at 5:35 amIf you have a huge customer list, then just use past conversions.
Tons of people who add to cart or checkout don’t convert, so you don’t want to give Google potentially bad signals. You can use them but they won’t be as good as past customers.

GuestOctober 11, 2025 at 10:36 amIf those lists are only a few thousand people I’d include cart abandoners and maybe even 90-day or 540-day visitors. You should also include in-market audiences and detailed demographics if there are any relevant lists. Regular demographics are less important, but if you do say sell only to seniors I would include those age groups.
