Google: Moving to AI-centric search in 3 weeks

Today, we're announcing the next chapter.
Effective April 22, 2026 — just three weeks from now — Google will retire the traditional desktop search results page. In its place, all search queries will be handled exclusively by Google AI Search, our next-generation conversational search experience.
