Google Merchant Center Title question

I’m trying to understand how Shopify sends product titles to Google Merchant Center, because the title I see in Merchant Center doesn’t always match what I see in Shopify. Sometimes I have a main product title, an SEO title, and even variant-related text, and I can’t tell which one Google is actually using. Does anyone know exactly which Shopify field gets sent to Merchant Center, whether Google changes it after receiving it, and how I can make the Merchant Center title match Shopify 1:1 or intentionally make it different?

Depends on what app/tool you are using to sync Google Merchant Center and Shopify. Whatever you see in your shopping feed is what is being used in your ads.

Google Merchant Center is pulling the main Shopify product title, not the SEO title.
If it looks different, it’s often because of the sync app settings, variant naming, or rules inside Merchant Center—-its not Google rewriting.
If you want it 1:1, check the title in Shopify, then compare it to the submitted title in Merchant Center for that product.
