Google Merchant Center – Missing products

Posted by Wicked_Batman_ on November 29, 2025 at 7:02 am

    Hi,

I connected my Shopify store with GMC via the Google & YouTube app in Shopify. However, a few of my products are not showing in GMC. When I search for those products in GMC, it shows no results. These products are active in Shopify, published in the online store, and Google & YouTube is enabled in the sales channels. Any idea why only some products are missing in GMC?

Check if those missing products have all the required Google Shopping attributes filled out in Shopify. Sometimes it’s just a missing GTIN, product category, or shipping details. Head to your Shopify product pages and make sure every field in the Google & YouTube sales channel section is complete.

Install the symprosis feed – much more consistent for feed management than g&y – when in the products section of your site select all make sure you have made them eligible for sales channels

This happens a lot with the Shopify → Google app, even when everything *looks* published.

Google will simply skip any product that’s missing something it needs (GTIN/MPN, brand, size/color for apparel, or anything that triggers a policy review), but it won’t always show an obvious error in GMC.

Variants with messy data or no identifiers get ignored too. The easiest way to check is inside Shopify: go to Google & YouTube → Product Listings, click the missing product, and you’ll usually see why Google didn’t approve it.

Sometimes it’s as small as a missing barcode or the product not being set to the right target country.
