These shitty updates always come before the quarterly earnings calls. This is how they manipulate their search with the ads teams to meet investors’ expectations.

So, guys, what are your thoughts on the latest update?
1. Google emphasising its commitment to small websites and their potential to rank: “The company reaffirms its commitment to showcasing high-quality content from diverse sources, including smaller, independent websites.”
2. Google will start prioritise websites that provide genuinely useful content over those that simply looking just to perform well in search results. How will they evaluate this?

They seriously need to improve with this update, even non-SEO friends talk about how bad the search results are. It will take about a month to fully roll out so we’ll have to wait and see.

Time to jump on the Google SERPs rollercoaster!!

I’m seeing some massive changes in my SERPs. For any SERP that I was not in the top 5 spots, I have gone up. But for ANY that I was in the top 5, I have crashed. And it seems the higher i was on a SERP the lower i sunk.
Anyone seeing anything similar?

I think the only way small sites can truly cover topical authority to the amount you will need to in order to compete will be to shift your content creation away from skyscraper to something more linear. So rather than going super deep on pillar pages, it’s better to cover topics that connect to relevant neighbor tooics/entities ( thjnk in terms of connections on a Knowledge graph) .
From there we will need to create the type of content that the general consensus agrees ai cannot truly answer . ( things that require experience , emotions, and so forth ) I’ve heard it called “information gain.” Not so sure i explained it well however.

Hmm, already dropped from 1st spot to about 5th against websites that don’t been have any mention about core services apart from in a paragraph on some random page.
Might have to wait and see what happens and not freak out 😀
