Google Ads has a learning phase too?

Posted by seohelper on July 2, 2021 at 9:51 am

    Hello,

I started with Google Ads a few weeks ago and I haven’t experienced this thing: my ads just got approved instantly and generated impressions with more or less expensive clicks and conversions. Then Google starting popping out their recommendations this and there for optimization. I would apply them according to my needs.

This week I increased the daily budget, and my campaigns are STUCK since! Very few impressions, not spending, nothing! (And all the parameters and ad optimization are good). They tell me that it’s in their learning phase, which is new to me, because if I had known, I would not have applied their automatic “recommendations”! I would have thought that even if it’s “learning”, I would still have my ad shown normally! Now I have 0 leads for my business which I need.

You can switch it back or go to change history and undo the changes which might help.

If your ads account is new or a new campaign with minimal similar campaign history you will usually have a learning phase.

You can’t think that tools have to bend to your every need, efficiency comes at a cost beyond what you pay for clicks, the other option is keep everything in manual and being railroaded.

Learning period generally lasts 4 days to a week. I would suggest to ride it out, it generally pays off if you did everything right beforehand.
