Google Ads Conversion Not Working /Shopify
Posted by on March 10, 2021 at 2:44 pmI’m not having any success in setting up Google Conversion on my Shopify Store. It’s at the point where I would pay someone to do it who knows what they are doing. Following the provided instructions does not work as the code does not run on the Checkout Page.

Have you placed your Google analytics code into the tracking area? There’s a specific place in the site settings and below that is a checkbox for tracking e-commerce goals. Check out and it does everything for you. This will not work with GA4.

I think you have a GA4 property since you mentioned about the code not being in the Checkout Page. Here’s what I recommedn:
1. Create a new Universal Analytics (UA) property inside Google Analytics (Admin > Property).
2. Once you have the UA tracking code, install in Shopify (Online Store > Preferences > Google Analytics).
3. Enable Ecommerce and Enhanced Ecommerce in the new UA Google Analytics property.
4. Import the conversion in Google Ads.Hope this helps!
