    Google ads advise | 0.01% CTR | £3 CPC

    Hello,

I own a small website design business in the UK. I was talking to a Google ads advisor but, due to covid that has stopped. Basically, my current budget is £9/day and I’m simply not getting conversions fast enough. I only have one client at a time, so when I don’t have a client I use my Google ads to advertise and it can take 5-7 days before a successful enquiry comes in. I am willing to spend more if it meant I got the enquiries faster.

Also, I now have a niche of “Competition websites”. These are not incorporated at all into my ad due to me not really changing the ad since they were setup in July. My current ad is very basic and just advertises web design. As you can tell from the title, the ads aren’t doing well. However, I have made 680% ROI, which is the only reason I am continuing with Google ads because I do see potential.

Since last creating my ads I believe the interface has changed. It is now much more complex to create campaigns. I have found a few good YouTube tutorials by Surfside PPC, but they are all on the old interface and it is hard to follow as setting up a campaign has vastly changed. Especially with new options such as images that are required. I have tried creating multiple ad variations and ad groups, but I didn’t really know what options to select. Unfortunately, I rang Google and they only provide phone support to new customers.

Now you know my situation, do you have any advise on how to improve my usage of Google ads? Is it possible to change back to the old version of the Google ads interface? And, are there any up to date, in depth tutorials you can recommend?

    Thank you for reading.

Low ctr to me means that the copy is not attractive. Your headlines should be about having the solution to a problem. Description is maybe a bit of legitimize your business, the kinds of services you offer and maybe a starting quote, Like:

    > Web Design for Ecommerce | Chat with Us
    >
    > 10 years designing websites for Shopify, WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, and more. Start your business online today.

Or anything better. The best google ads structure won’t get over not attractive copy.

About the rest I suggest you read everything really carefully and trust how intuitive google made it because i agree, the tutorials are not up to date to what i saw when i recently made a new account.

CPC isn’t bad, but CTR is brutal bro – esp if you’re running search… CTR = relevancy between your audience and ad
