Google Ads: 7000 clicks, 0 conversions on first day. Turn it off or wait?

I started a Google Ads campaign for a customer support AI widget for businesses. It's setup as a sale campaign with tracking on the sale.

I started 2 campaigns yesterday. One search only with only targeted keywords. That one has no impressions yet. And I let them run the default black box campaign the account setup forced me into.

I used all countries and all languages, because my website is actually in 70 languages, and correctly serves the user based on their browser language. I do understand that I can expect a lot of low quality traffic in that case, but it's also cheaper.

In 24 hours I've had 7000 clicks at $0.01 each. So $70. My target is $15 ad spend per conversion.

My question is: is this a red flag? I should pause this campaign now, or let it finish learning? The CTR is 11% and none of the 7000 clicks even left the homepage so it looks like bots or accidental clicks.

I don't know whether I need to wait out the "learning" or stop it now.

I’d turn it off now. 7,000 clicks with 0 conversions and nobody going past the homepage is a big warning sign, not just “learning.”

I’d stop it now. “Learning” can explain noisy CPA, but it doesn’t explain 7,000 clicks where nobody even gets past the homepage.

The combination of all countries + all languages + the default black-box campaign is the bigger red flag to me. At $0.01 CPC you’re probably buying junk placements / accidental traffic somewhere, not just broad-but-real demand.

Before spending another dollar I’d check exactly where those clicks came from (network, placements, locations, devices, and any search terms if they exist). If that traffic isn’t from the kind of businesses you actually want, pause first and rebuild much tighter.

That isn’t learning, that’s junk traffic. I’d pause the black-box campaign now and only restart once the geo, language, and conversion event setup are tight, otherwise Google will keep optimizing for clicks that never had a shot.

    Can it dude.
You sound technical but not an Ads expert. Worth getting an expert opinion before you set things live.

Start with one country, and only then expand to others with what works. 70 languages to start with is insane, not to mention how much search term cleaning you’d need to do.
