Getting started with etsy
Posted by on September 1, 2025 at 4:07 pmSo I'm looking at doing some reselling on Etsy / eBay. I know basically nothing about seo but have a background in CS. I see a lot of mentions to link from a personal website to Etsy is that really needed? Can't I just sell on the platform? Also is there a way to do SEO in Etsy / eBay directly?

I always motivate people to get their own domain and their own website. It’s something that cannot be taken away from you on the whim of the rule change. Use your website to build your email list, write articles and presell your products.
