Is there any easy and high quality way of automatizing video converting for all major social media platforms? They all have their little quirks (like Twitter’s cap at 40fps or weird Instagram resolutions) and it’s always a major pain point to me cause I can have the video ready in 1/4th the time it then takes me to prepare it for all the platforms. The free online tools ouput dubious quality, the most popular programs like Handbrake always have some issues (like, forcing Handbrake to produce a square video will use anamorphism and create weird stretching when trying to upload it on the IG app). Using things like Premiere Elements is a total overkill cause you need a project for each video.

Anything that simplifies it and automatizes it so that you can get going quickly?

It’s not the best system in the world, but Adobe Premiere Rush seems to do an alright job at adapting video for each platform from what I remember.
It’s been a few months since I’ve used it though, so apologies if I’m mistaken.

I haven’t tried Adobe Elements though, so it could be a similar deal to that

Sounds like an absolute nightmare… Do you really need to adapt it to be perfect on every platform? Instead of doing one that works well enough on all?

ffmpeg is the opensource tool that most solutions that you buy will have on the back end. including handbrake and adobe media converter, vlc, and more.

you my want to put a wrapper on it to customize crops and or resolution outputs. You can scrape together a python wrapper that would act as a GUI for your pipeline.

Sadly this asks you to buckle down and learn the world of opensource software and scripting that most people aren’t ready to do. Good luck and post your solution on github if you make something cool!

We transfer hasnt messed up quality for me across multiple devices. You are able to change file type as well and successfully transfer.

Not free but adobe media encoder is an awesome program that you can easily change settings to re encode and convert to the file you need.
