For Tik Tok, what’s the longest it’s taken for a video of yours to hit the FYP?
Posted by on February 5, 2021 at 3:08 pmFor example: you’ve checked your updated analytics on the video and it says your traffic is coming from your profile and followers, but 0% for FYP. So i’m not talking about it staggering in after an hour or two and then booming after a day, I’m talking about that first push.
I’ve heard that it can take up to 48 hours sometimes which I find interesting because usually it’s 2-3 hours max on my end.

The longest its taken mine is a little under a week. I posted a video and it got around 40,000 views which is typically average on my page. After around 5 days, the post began to blow up and received around 600k views lol

I’ve had some go viral 20 days after posting and hit the FYP then.

2 weeks, maybe I was shadowbanned, not sure. But it did okay ~100K and 2 weeks later 20 Million

An hour at most? If they’re gonna happen they happen quick. If it’s more than an hour or two, it’s not gonna takeoff. TikTok is super quick to make it happen.

I actually had a TikTok that went to 65k views in just 2 hours but then within 24 it turned to 76k total which was so weird.

I’ve found that it usually takes between 2-4 hours myself
The tik tok algo is really unpredictable sometimes tho. I remember having a video get 20k views in 2 hours and it’s been stuck at 25k for weeks

My most viral vid was the same as all the other videos, they’ve gradually climbed in views exponentially, (very slow at first but gets faster the higher it gets), it has 3.5m views and like 496k likes, but the whole time it has just slowly been going up. It’s also almost all views and comments from South American countries and I live in Norhern US so it’s funny lmao. It didn’t even hit the US fyp if you get what I’m saying and I have no idea why. All my videos started getting taken down for no reason when I’d post and now I’m shadowbanned lol, let me know if anyone has any way around this. And the fyp I think is tweaked rn cause they’re changing around the algorithm. I think if your video doesn’t gain any traction within a day there’s no chance but the algorithm is very weird. My posts either hit the fyp instantly at a random posting time, over night not using the app because staying off the app helps to boost your post (like 1am to 10am) , or they don’t get any traction and I private them lol
