Feeling discouraged with the TikTok algorithm
Posted by on February 26, 2021 at 6:19 pmMy friends and family always say “why aren’t you TikTok famous yet? You should start a YouTube!” Etc.
So I’ve been taking a lot of time to make funny videos (write the script, film it myself, act in it, edit it myself, etc)…only to have them get like 8 views. And I’ll show them to people and they think they are hilarious.
I’m feeling super discouraged. How do people become big on there? I know I have the talent and I know my videos are funny, but I feel like the algorithm doesn’t favor my account.
The 3 videos I posted that were dumb and took no effort (i.e. a close up of my face, not doing anything) end up getting like 70k views. And then the ones where I really try, get like 8 views.
Should I just give up?
