  • FB Organic Reach Drop… Restricted Audiences?

I’ll preface this with I know organic is dead and such so Im not expecting huge engagement but my page of ~15k was averaging organic reach of 1k per post. New product news would be higher, other content could be lower. But it has been like that for a long time.

Then in the last two weeks it completely dropped off. I’m talking now we are barely seeing 300-400 reached per post and thats including product announcements which used to be our best performing. Boosting with $25 bucks used to get me from 1k to 3 or 4k, now it barely takes 300 to 800 reached.

We did a restricted audience post to just reach one geo area about a promo and ever since then is when the reach has dropped off. I confirmed posts since aren’t being restricted… did I screw something up? Is FB still restricting somehow?

I’m experiencing the exact same thing from my business pages. Use to hit 800-1k reach through organic posting and now we’re lucky to get 300-500. It’s happened to a couple of other accounts that I know so I think it is a wider Facebook problem.

    Happened to my page too.

Ive a food review pGe with 269k follower. Every post used to be explosive with 40-50k reach..until last october 22nd..All went down to less than 1 K..I continued posting just like usual yet every single post only get like 4-8 likes..for a 269k follower page..that was absurd.

I contacted FB via live chat and they said theres nothing wrong with my page. They said its normal for audiences to be bored with our posting…and fb said ive to focus more on story if normal posting is not doing well..and yesss my story reach is skyrocketting atm..i really think fb is testing new algoritm. And we are the labrats.

    But still very unfortunate.

Don’t boost your posts from the front end.

Go to your ads manager and boost from the backend. You will get great results if you do the latter.

It’s happening to me as well! I would say it started about two weeks ago and gotten progressively worse. Something that would usually get 350-550 likes is now getting 50-100. I’ve changed absolutely nothing. It’s very demoralizing. I wouldn’t be surprised if it had something to do with the election. It’s such a bummer because my activity on Instagram has been low as well since they took away recent hashtags. I just wish this would end. It’s really effecting my business which already wasn’t doing so hot due to the economy.
