FB ad keeps getting rejected due to social/political issue excuse

Posted by seohelper on February 13, 2021 at 7:41 am

The ad has nothing to do with social or political issues. It is literally a photo of a candle on a table. And the text just talks about candle ad copy. And it links to the candle site.

I’ve even tried just boosting a pic from the FB page of candles, but again rejected for social/political issues.

Is there a way to contact Fb somehow and ask specifically? I am going with the ID verification anyway to run social/political ads if this is the only way, but it seems ridiculous.

It is just a plain white branded candle…

This happens to me a lot too. Sometimes just appealing in the system works but other times I need to get my rep involved. I’m not sure if there is still the messenger option for support but I’d check the help center. Also, fwiw no sense in rushing to do the social issue ads verification as they still aren’t letting you run them due to the election. They stopped back in November and haven’t resumed it yet.

Google “Facebook Business Help Center” and go there… I don’t want to post a link in case it’s against sub rules but it’s the first one on there.

Also, don’t do the ID thing to run the ad because as of right now Facebook does not allow social or political ads at all ever since around Election Day. So you would be wasting your time to do through all of that.

You need to contact Facebook or talk with an expert who can analyze your ads and see where you are going wrong with the ad and copy that might be triggering the Facebook bots to reject you.
