Faceboook Uploader get all the FB engagement and not tagged people?
Posted by on March 21, 2021 at 12:46 amWe noticed recently that photo tagged people were not getting any engagement from their audience, even though the post’s security setting is ‘public’ and shows up on everyone’s wall. Meanwhile the post gets high engagement from 90% of the uploader’s audience + 10% of “mutual-friends” with the tagged people. We contacted a friend of a tagged person (no mutual friends), and they could visit the profile see the new post, but were not alerted to it, and thus not aware.
This has prompted everyone in tagged photos to duplicate & re-upload the same photo to their own wall & tag others to get their own engagement back.
Is there a setting that will fix this? Or is this the new normal?

That’s how it’s always been. Keeps people from sharing too much and tagging people when they don’t want it blowing up their timelines. Chances are if someone wants to share a photo to their profile and friends, they’ll upload it themselves. The person who is tagged is still notified and sees it but it’s not shown to a ton of their friends. I don’t care about seeing a bunch of photos a friends friend took and tagged them in. If that friend really cares to share them, they’ll share them themselves or share their friends post to their own timeline.
