So.. I'm based in South Africa. I have built up a Facebook page over th last couple of years and if you search almost anything in my niche the search engine results will have a Facebook post of my page at the top or really near the top. I recently had a website designed and now I would like to get all that traffic to my website. Is it possible? Or should it be built up again for the website also?

So, you basically want to drive traffic to your website using the same search terms that currently bring up your Facebook page in the SERPs. If that’s the case, you’ll need to optimize your website for those keywords or topics. Since your website is new, you definitely need to add as much content as possible, while also building strong, high-quality backlink profiles. If your Facebook group has a good number of members or your page has a solid following, you can generate social traffic by sharing your website link there. However, your website won’t appear in the SERPs in the same way your Facebook posts do.
