    [Facebook] Multiple adsets, one ad

Posted by seohelper on August 7, 2020 at 7:22 am

    Hi,

Does every ad set needs it’s own ad or can I link multiple adsets to one ad?

    Example:

    I have two adsets:

    – People that interacted with my page
    – Interest based targeting

I want to link them to the same ad, but as far as I can see, that ad would have to be duplicated and added to both adsets individually. Is that correct?

No, you can use one ad in multiple ad groups. You also definitely want to do this because all likes, comments etc. will aggregate on this one ad instead of being separated onto multiple ads.

When creating an ad, just pick the tab “Use Existing Post” instead of “Create Ad” and put in the ad’s ID. Here’s an article with an exaggerated choice of words but a solid step-by-step guide: https://revealbot.com/blog/social-proof-facebook-ads/
