I recently joined a new company and found out someone who use to work there many, many years ago created a business account. Unfortunately they have tried to track down numerous past employees and no one claims to
have created it. Does anyone know of anyway to remove it? We can’t access our ads manager account and had to end up using someone’s personal account for ads instead.

Nothing automated. You’ll need to contact their support via email and be ready to provide proof of your affiliation with the business… an email address on their domain, articles of incorporation, things like this

I recently just had an issue very similar to this fixed. Our business page had an owner account on lockdown and nobody knew the password nor could they locate the original email associated with it.

I contacted FB support and got the instructions I needed to make my account an admin of the business owner account and remove any old admins.

Basically what I needed was a notarized document from the OWNER of the business explaining the situation, who I am in relation to the company, my intentions with the company, my ID, owner’s ID, and that was about it. After a week of silence from their end they sent me an email stating my request had been granted!

    Best of luck to you
