Facebook ADS result dependent on the Facebook Page Used?

Posted by seohelper on August 11, 2021 at 2:33 am

Hi guys, i have a question regarding how Facebook ADs are effected by the Facebook Page used.

I have created a new (empty) facebook page just to create some ADS (this is with a new AD account as well) however i have been getting really bad results, and i found out that my CPM is really high.
I have been trying to figure out why and i came across this.

In the AD set level, when choosing a page and where the Estimated Daily Results are show, i saw that

    1) When i use the new page i created i am getting an estimated reach of 400-1.1k
    2) When i use another page which i manage ( not an empty page, about 1K likes and it has been around for a year) i am getting an estimated reach of 1.4k-4k
    3) In both instances, they use the same budget, targeting, placement, and creative, they are identical, it is just the Facebook page used which is different.

My question is does the Facebook Page selected when creating ADS, affect the results and outcome?

    Those are estimates, my dude.

Edit: those audiences are also too small. No less than 750k.

yea they have a bunch of internal metrics that they look at regarding the quality of your page (ie: number of posts, comment quality, fans, age of page) and serve it up to certain subsects of fb audience. They do not disclose this information but it is something they do.

Yes, it’s totally normal, especially when you have ran some ads on one or both pages.

The algorithm some kind of a “base audience” for simplicity lets say that is similar to a look a like audience, this audience is “attached” to the fb page.

Fb will try to find in the people most similar to the “base audience” in the audience you are giving him.

PD: This “base audience” is unique to your ad account, so if you want to start almost from 0 create a new ad account and use the same fb page.
