Facebook ads, e-com – Your usual structure?

Posted by seohelper on March 9, 2021 at 1:32 pm

Thought we could share our usual structure for e-com ads, to help tweak and optimize our own.

    Usually i do this:

Pick 3-5 of the best products depending on how many products the e-com store has.

Then i do the following for each product

    **Testing Creatives**

    Conversion Objective

2 ad sets with 1 interest each

    4-5 creatives, 2 videos, 3 photos

I test for 3-5 days, until i find the winning creatives

    **Testing Audiences**

    Create a new campaign

    Conversion Objective

3-4 adsets – interests, LAL, emaillist

    1-3 creatives

Test for 3-5 days until i have winning adsets

    Turn of losing ad sets

    **Scaling + retargeting**

Increase budget 20% every 3 days

    Conversion objective for retargeting

    1-3 creatives, with more FOMO/offer/testimonials

    Turn of loosing creatives

    **Repeat for other products**

**What’s your structure? How would you tweak mine for optimization?**

When testing interests I almost always have at least 10 ad sets each with different interest.

I’d suggest to test more audiences.

If ROAS is really good, I scale by doubling the budget.

Sometimes if ROAS is okay 2.5-3.0, I still try that.

Retargeting I always do PV 7D, budget being 5%-20% of my total budget (LLAs + interests)

I usually don’t have seperate campaigns for creative testing, I probably should start doing that.

Do you start with conversion objective even if it’s a brand new store?

    Hi, cool setup!

Do you also work with companies that use Facebook Ads for more than one country to sell their products, but only have one domain?

We are having the iOS 14 update issue right now. You can only verify one domain, but it’s used in multiple countries with /jp or /us and so on.

I just don’t know how to deal with this 8 event limitation now. Buy more domains was declined by the client for this year.

Do you, or does anyone else here have a clue / idea? I would really appreciate it! Facebook support just wrote “unfortunately no. The problem is also a big challenge for us!”
