Dynamic Remarketing ads for Display Campaigns

    TLDR

Thought I could have a dynamic remarketing campaign that purely shows the individual products that someone has seen on our site. But can’t seem to have various product categories all under one campaign.

I have been running display campaigns for awhile and wanted to look into dynamic ads – I already have one product range on Google Shopping and so thought it would be pretty simple to set up.

    So here’s where I’m confused

I have uploaded various feeds (all based on different product groups)

When I go to create a campaign and hook it into my Merchant Centre ID it picks up all the individual feeds

So I had a look and found the filtering option and I presume I would filter say product a (if I wanted a targeted campaign for product a).

But then it looks like I can’t have any other ads under this campaign (product b, product c and so on) as the filtering is set at campaign level

Also with the filtering when it says “the values needed to match what is in the feed” for product type is that the whole bread crumb?

    Home & Garden > Decor > etc > etc1

Or literally just the last strand “etc1”?

If your site has enough traffic for individual segments for the products you’ll want to promote you can tailor your own html5 ads with webdesigner and input your custom parameter. It’s kinda complicated though and might not be worth it considering the effort
