Does the order of backlinks matter?
Posted by on May 11, 2021 at 7:01 amConsider three pages on separate websites A, B, and C. In the first scenario B is already linking to C when A links to B. In the second scenario A first links to B and then, some time later, B links to C. Will there be any difference in how much A’s link will affect C’s ranking?

Thanks! The reason I asked is that it’d kind of make sense, as a mitigation for bait-and-switch tactics. But maybe those aren’t too frequent to warrant this.
