Does taking a blog hiatus kill SEO?
Posted by on September 26, 2025 at 5:21 pmMy website publishes new articles every week. It's fairly new (from March), but gets a tiny amount of daily traffic from socials and Google/search. Will that die off if the blog takes a hiatus of a couple months?

I always think of a blog as the site’s heartbeat. No other pages are fresh and up-to-date. For example, a product page is pretty much as is. Not a lot of updating. But blogs keep the site new and Google happy. I would maybe back down on your cadence rather than pausing. Or….instead of new blogs (if that’s the issue with topics), update your older ones with better and new content and change the date to the new published date.
