Pagespeed affects user experience and has been an indirect factor in SEO. But with Google’s new search update, it’s going to be a direct ranking factor FWIW.

Acc. To Google new guidelines 2021 page speed is prior factor for ranking the website. They must be rank down after google crawls their websites completely. But there is a scenario. See, a websites contains lots of pages google bots crawl the whole pages individually and check their page speed as well. Those pages who have good speed got ranked and the other pages ranks down and that’s the reason of ranking fluctuations in google SERPs. But there is another scenario too if that page is user friendly and bouncing rate is less then it also maintain it’s ranking. So, don’t focus on one factor check out the other ranking factors too. If your website has 8/10 completely follow google new guidelines it will definitely show results.

I think so, because page speed depends upon the content/image that uploaded on the website and content is the part of SEO technique.
