My friend's brand/website name is already taken by an individual/person on Instagram. They won't sell it. Does it matter for search purposes (within Instagram and Google) if he uses a word in front of vs after the brand name?

Example: jonescontruction is the hypothetical brand name. He can use calljonesconstruction or jonesconstructiontownname. I'm only asking in reference to the "call" being in front of the spelling of the brand name, versus the spelling of the brand name being the first things search picks up on.

Yeah, I banged my head on that wall with my side hustle handle last year.

Front-loading a word like “build” forced me to own the action – every bio tweak, every post, starts with that verb now. It sharpened searches too; folks type “build[brand]” and land right. Back it up: track 50 searches in notes, count the hits.

Name your move, own the flow.

As long as the primary brand name is still there in the handle or username, it doesn’t seem to make much of a difference. Even prefixes like “call” or “the” won’t damage much if your profile and content support the actual company name. Having it at the beginning, as Jones Construction Townname, will help a little with awareness and search visibility.

The consistency of usernames, display names, and website SEO is more important than the precise order of the handle if they intend to build over the long run.
