1) you should include your images as an imageObject in the schema of google, now licensable images are also a part of the schema, that would particularly show your images in search results for image search.

2) Also, use standard web image formats like 1280 x 720, 1600 x 900 etc…

3) Use cross-browser supported formats like Jpeg, PNG Only for better SEO.

4) If you use WordPress Rank Math has an Image SEO specifically even in the free version.
