Does anyone actually use IG’s Edits app?

I use it fairly regularly. It’s pretty handy for simple edits. I’d heard that the IG algorithm favoured content made in Edits and I’ve seen some big results but I can’t say for sure it’s because I used Edits or whether it was just good content.

I use it for simple edits. I’ll also edit almost my whole video in CapCut then put it in edits and maybe add a song or something and then upload it with the edits app because I’ve heard as well that IG is giving better reach to those that use the edits app. I do think my reach has increased, but of course it’s impossible to know if that’s the reason.

I help with social media for a brand and we use edits for editing any content that we’re posting to Meta platforms. It’s nothing robust, but it’s fine for quick/easy edits. We get more views if we edit/post directly from Edits vs. other editing software.

I use it for almost everything. I’d say it’s more user friendly than capcut. It’s just nicer and less fluff. Love that you can add music straight in the app, you can make your own audio edits with various songs too. You can import images, remove background and overlay really easily in any video edit. Soooo much better than editing in IG. I can’t even count how many hours I’ve lost to IG crashing on me mid edit and this solves that issue. Apparently they’re launching new built in AI features soon that will track subjects etc but I haven’t dived into it yet.

It’s become my go-to editor after all the “capcut owns everything, even your drafts” drama earlier this year. I like that they keep adding useful features/listening to their audience, too, which given Meta’s rep for NOT doing that makes me v happy haha!

I use it for everything too for all these reasons: Unlike CapCut it’s also free (I paid something like £99 for the basic CapCut version for a year) and I don’t have to crop out the annoying CapCut watermark at the end of videos. Also unlike CapCut I can add audio from the library into the video while editing it so I can see how the music goes with the video

I played around with it. It’s definitely an improvement of their in-app editing capabilities. It’s close to the built in editing capabilities of TikTok.

That said, I hate working from my phone. Until there is a desktop/laptop version I probably won’t use it

Yes, sometimes is more or less better n simpler then capcut. i edit all content with that itself( i run 3.9k followers IG page in finance niche btw) and if anybody want free ai platform to create banger content that gets leads without paying hefty amounts on other, feel free to ping me in dms man =)

I wasn’t happy with the UI. Seemed choppy. Much prefer CapCut unless it’s real simple

I used it while I was recovering from surgery and found it really good. Now I use it for certain vertical videos all of the time, because it’s easier than davinci resolve for some of the things I edit.
