GuestAugust 23, 2024 at 5:18 amNot to brag, but I have done local SEO services for law firms that have literally changed the course of their business. They got more and more leads, had to hire more staff, and moved into bigger office locations. These clients have stayed with me now for 2+ years as we have expanded their services further and further from their main location. SEO can be a real game changer when done right.

GuestAugust 23, 2024 at 5:58 amI’ve had local firms as clients for Content Writing with keyword research, gap analysis, all on-page SEO, Featured Snippets, backlinks, page indexing.
It is the best way to build trust and authority and a law firm must really leverage that. 💫

GuestAugust 23, 2024 at 6:04 amAbsolutely! There’s a very good reason why personal injury lawyer has some of the highest CPC prices out there. The competitive nature of legal services out of this world and if a legal firm wants to appear anywhere in search, they need to at least do something that all the other firms are already doing.

GuestAugust 23, 2024 at 6:37 amIt depends if they need clients – some genuinely don’t; my favourite example is myself… I’ve made a career building websites and SEO, telling everyone having both is absolutely crucial for business… my personal site has been “coming soon” for almost 15 years!

GuestAugust 23, 2024 at 6:53 amWhy not? If a law firm is looking for online queries, it must invest in local SEO services.

GuestAugust 23, 2024 at 10:53 amGMB can do a lot of good for law firm.
In practice: there are so many specializations in law that even a one-person law firm can find its niche and successfully promote its services even outside of GMB – in classic SERP.

GuestAugust 23, 2024 at 11:42 amSEO from a general standpoint of ensuring you have a professional looking site that functions properly is critical for any business in 2024. That said, as someone who manages legal clients, the value of SEO from a content marketing perspective depends on the size and service areas of the law firm. Law firms are generally a local service so if you are one of thousands of lawyers in a major metropolitan area, then it makes sense to get your name out there using content marketing, but that is assuming you have an SEO that can consistently rank your content high. It would also make sense for big firms that have multiple branches that cover multiple service areas in a single state or across multiple states as they can benefit from content that serves state wide and national audiences.
However, if you are a smaller lawyer serving a smaller community, then you may be creating content that might not provide significant value when it comes to generating new leads. Not only is the likelihood of a smaller brand ranking high enough quite low due to the extremely competitive nature of the legal field, but the content you create is also likely capturing visibility from customers outside your service areas. We do well for our legal clients in California, Texas, and Illinois, but given the nature of legal content not being hyper localized, the biggest complaint from our clients is that 80% of organic leads are not qualified as they are in different areas of the state or out of state where our firms can’t practice. In these circumstances, does content marketing still provide value? Most definitely yes. But does it provide an ROI? That’s not always the case. For smaller firms, it might be difficult to justify that budget when the returns are not offsetting the expense. In these cases, the argument for paid ads makes more sense as those can be geo targeted to a specific location which should result in much more qualified leads.

GuestAugust 23, 2024 at 11:56 amOf course it needs SEO services. Even diseases “need” SEO services.
There was a meme that goes like this: when you google the symptoms, you have the disease that has the best SEO score.
Does the law firm want people searching the internet find their firm instead another one? That’s what SEO is about.
I know from personal experience that some business types (including this one) don’t find the need to even have a website, because they work trought recommendations. But more customers aren’t bad for any business.
