Do you have to set bids when using Maximize Conversion?
Posted by on June 6, 2021 at 12:43 amI’ve seen articles stating you don’t have to set bids for Maximize Clicks when creating new keywords but is that the same for Maximize Conversion?

As far as I remember, you can set a max CPC for Max Clicks at the campaign level. For Max Conversions you don’t have the option to set bids at the keyword-level nor set a Max CPC at a campaign level.

No, from what I know. Max conversions is for getting you the max number of conversions within the budget you allocate, so its dependant on the campaign budget. Set your conversion action at a campaign level and you should be good. tCPA will let you actually decide how much you want to spend per conversion.

No, you can optionally set a tCPA (which is effectively target CPA bidding) but you don’t have to.
