  • Do Reels views include numbers from both Facebook and Instagram?

I was using Apify to analyze data from some creators and noticed that, for certain videos, the number of views extracted by Apify was different from the number shown on Instagram on each user’s profile. I observed that this difference was larger mainly in videos with higher view counts; even so, the number displayed on Instagram was never more than 50% higher than the data I obtained through extraction. Therefore, I’d like to know whether the view count shown on each user’s profile also includes Facebook views and whether, when extracting this data, I’m only getting the number of views from within Instagram.

For some profiles it includes the fb + ig together… for others it shows only insta… I noticed this only yesterday in my accounts… shows 5K likes but only 30 DM shares… turns out 95% of the likes are fb likes

Reels stats can get a bit messy across platforms, so I usually double-check each app’s analytics instead of assuming they merge everything. On a related note, I’ve used how to see someone’s likes on instagram as a handy way to figure out what type of content is actually pulling people in, since it shows patterns in what they interact with. It’s helped me tweak my posts without guessing in the dark.
