Do Instagram collabs require an Amazon prime account?

Brands have started reaching out to collab on IG. However, most are requesting I have an Amazon prime account, in order to receive the items. I was wondering if anyone knew why they need this information? Not sure if this is just standard, and I’m just not familiar with the process.
I don’t really use Amazon prime, so was debating if I need to start one in order to grow my IG and get more collabs. Any advice for this?

The way you’re describing it, things sound scammy. Although I don’t know what the scam is here or if there is one. assuming there’s no scam here:
Amazon Prime makes shipping faster and free, so if everything is legitimate, it would make sense that they want you receiving items fast with no shipping costs.
You can get a free month trial of Prime (I think).
