Do Google Smart Shopping campaigns get around the retargeting restriction for health-related products?
Posted by on April 7, 2021 at 8:34 pmGoogle doesn’t allow building retargeting audiences for health-related products. I know Smart Shopping also retargets users. Would retargeting therefore also work for health-related products or is that portion of Smart shopping disabled for such products?

It’ll be disabled if your account is marked as selling health-related products. You’ll notice your remarketing lists are flagged as disabled due to policy violations (if you’ve ever tried to run remarketing). No active remarketing lists mean no ads running.
