Do all brand agencies try to screw you? 💩
Posted by on November 28, 2025 at 9:58 pmI’m a content creator trying to sign with an agency – the deal is they connect me with brands, I pay them commission.
I was offered a 3 month trial period. Just reviewed the contract and it’s absolutely crazy:

if I leave them, I have to pay them commission for the rest of my life if I work with any brands they introduced me to (not even worked with, a simple intro will suffice lol)

they OWN all my video content forever

I may not ‘personally gain’ from my social media channels ever again, whatever that means

commission is calculated on my ‘entire gross income’, even though I have other existing income streams
I love how one sided this contract is. Feels like I’m signing my life away even though it’s ’just a trial period’
This is a large agency too, working with many big brands!

This seems very dodgy. Can I ask where this agency is based?
