  • Do affiliate links on web pages still work?

Hello, I work from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and I have always wanted to earn some money online, but not having all the time and energy in the world, I tried to set up a YouTube channel with music and put an Amazon affiliate link there, but it didn't work for me, it is true that maybe I would dedicate more time to it if it would work, but for now nothing.

The thing is that my goal is not to earn fortunes with that (if I did I wouldn't complain either hahaha) but the point is that at least I would like to earn some extra money or at least see what I do even if it is a sale and feel that it is really possible

The point is that when I look for advice on YouTube I see that many focus on creating a website and it catches my attention because with AI, at least in my case I have noticed that I have significantly reduced my searches on pages and I suppose that many people do the same, so I get the feeling that it will not be something profitable, but I would like to know your opinion

Nowadays, do you see profitable affiliates (whether hotmar, Amazon, etc.) on websites or do you consider that the market is very saturated due to the reduction in volume due to AI?

Affiliate links didn’t die, the way people use the internet did. If you’re not pairing links with short-form content or email funnels, you’re invisible. You can still make affiliate income, but only if you build an audience before you build a website. (Hope that makes sense)

Affiliate links still work, but they thrive on targeted traffic and consistent effort have you considered niche blogging or leveraging platforms that align better with your audience?

It’s not dead, but yeah, it’s crowded. Thousands of people write the same “Top 10 gadgets” posts every day. To stand out, you need something unique, like your personal story, humor or better visuals. People buy from people they like, not from faceless lists.

Articles still work however it a question of content quality and in todays AI age, relevant to LLMs and the questions ppl are asking that your article could answer. Worth looking into.
