    Hey,

as the title suggests, I want to create a useful SEO tool and am interested in your opinions.

Let’s say you found a good topic, “best paper cups for hot drinks” for ex.

Would you find this useful? A tool that analyzes the top 10 search results and lets you know: Their type (article, shopping, Quora, forum, etc.), their word counts, their common words, and the amount of images and their alt tags.

I know that’s roughly what I do when deciding on a topic and could use a tool for that, what do you think?

There are three frogs sitting on a lily pad when one of the frogs decides to jump off. How many frogs are now on the lily pad? That’s right still three.

In other words: make it happen first. Depending on implementation, it could be useful, or it could be another annoyance in a workflow. Personally, I’d be curious to see something like that implemented as a WordPress plugin that could integrate with its editor.

There are certainly a few other tools that do this kind of thing – but that shouldn’t stop you building your solution, especially if it is something that you will use on a day to day basis to improve your own work.

Scratch your own itch, and you’ll always have at least one customer.

You should make a tool that allows me to put in a keyword and it searches the top 20 articles for all the keywords they rank for.

It should give me the monthly search volume and keyword difficultly of all the keywords.

So basically a keyword gap analysis tool on an article level vs. How tools do it now which is on a site level
