    Conversion Metric on Facebook Ads with click to whatsapp

    So I am running ads with Conversion as Objective and whatsapp as event location.

    Now with this, facebook asks to select a conversion event, but since I am not driving traffic to my website what’s the point of selecting a conversion event?

    As my ads are running I can see Link Click numbers but hardly any messages. And the column for my conversion event (I selected contact as event just to allow the system to publish) is blank.

    Is this impacting my campaign performance? Does anyone have any experience with making the best use of Whatsapp as the event location?

    1) Are you planning to convert those clickers on Whatsapp?

    2) How long have you run this campaign?

    3) Can you give more details on your metrics?

    E.g. Impressions, **link** click-through rate, total link clicks?

    Oftentimes what happens is that an ad hasn’t been shown to enough people to conclude that either your ad or targeting, etc is off.

    Other than that, I would try to make it clear in your ad/copy CTA that if the prospect is interested just click the link to send a message or even encourage them to engage by adding a discount to your offer if they send a message with “[insert word]”. Make it as frictionless as possible for them to take action. You’d be surprised at how many people abandon writing a message just because they were too lazy to think of what to say ?
