  Content on TikTok not being pushed despite good performance?

  Started a pet (cat) account that has some niche content, but mostly normal videos everyone else makes. Use popular sounds a decent amount of time, have a unified thumbnail design, all that jazz.

  I started out by promoting my posts. Was getting good engagement, view-to-like ratio has been about 30%, and I've gotten 1.2k followers in just a couple of weeks.

  The problem is, once the promotions are over, those posts get maybe one view a day if I'm lucky. And I don't understand it. I thought TikTok was supposed to reward videos that performed well.

  Any idea why my videos stagnate unless I promote? Hell, you'd think at least one or two of my followers would see my videos, but nope.
