  • Consistently getting 0 views and bans on TikTok – what am I doing wrong?

Howdy, social media gurus. I've recently started messing around with TikTok as a new social medium, and I don't quite understand what's going wrong. I've tried opening a few accounts. Videos I post (with hashtags and quips generated by AI) get exactly 0 views across all accounts. The same content gets plenty of views on YT. My latest account seems to have been banned, after I clicked the "Promote" button – now I'm getting a 'not authorized' message. I'm contrasting this against the experience of people who start a new account, generate some mess in Sora, and get a million views right off the bat, without even warming up the account.

Any suggestions to get me up and running would be greatly appreciated.

Do you warmup your account? Dont like or comment or follow immediately when you create ur acc, just scroll then after a few hrs like some posts then until your able to follow someone dont post anything, it may take 2-3 days then post your first video, if it doesnt work try reset ur phone and change ur ip following same steps

you have to label it as AI generated when you go to the page to add a caption etc. otherwise it’s a violation because to them, you’re acting like it’s real. it doesn’t matter what the hashtags say, that has to say it.
it even does it for location. one time i tagged NYC because i was talking about news there, and it was flagged and the location removed because they said “it appears you were not at this location, inaccurately showing location is a violation” like whatever 🙄

right now, my account just got monetized and immediately demonetized because of “unoriginal content” basically stolen content, and it’s mostly me recording myself in my car or room. trying to be a creator/influencer is dead.

Zero views across accounts then a ban after you clicked the “Promote” button sounds like tiktok flagged your accounts or device, not just bad captions. Try appealing the ‘not authorized’ notice, stop reusing AI-generated tags from sora, and test posting from a different device/IP , my buddy used socialplug to get followers but still had to fix trust signals first. Have you checked any emails from tiktok about policy violations or tried posting once without promoting to see if views start?

New TikTok accounts receiving zero views are frequently the result of a moderator filter or shadowban rather than the algorithm not enjoying the material. TikTok has the ability to detect accounts that replicate content that looks duplicated from other platforms, utilize hashtags or captions generated by AI that appear spammy, or post too frequently right after creation. A new account should ideally be warmed up gradually. Before marketing, publish a few unique clips, follow relevant creators, and interact personally. Until the account starts to gather traction, refrain from employing automation or other technologies. Make sure your films adhere to community guidelines as well; even minor text or watermark errors can cause censorship. Post frequently with genuine captions and actual engagement patterns when the account has stabilized to gradually increase awareness.

The instant ‘Promote’ ban is actually a tell: TikTok subjects new accounts with ad spend to elevated scrutiny, and if you haven’t established organic traction first—even 100-500 views—the system interprets paid promotion as manufactured demand. That triggers a device/account flag, not just a content violation. Before you rebuild, reset your environment: new device or factory reset + fresh IP (mobile data or VPN rotation), then follow the 72-hour warmup protocol others mentioned. The zero-view issue separate from the ban likely comes from reused AI hashtags or captions that match known spam patterns; TikTok cross-references phrasing across accounts. Write your own hooks and test hashtags manually from the Discover page to see what’s saturated vs. emerging.

Felt the same frustration with my TikTok accounts hitting 0 views and facing bans until I started warming up my profile with strategies from Viral Rabbi and Viewtifulday. Their guidance helped me understand that new accounts need gradual activity, like engaging with trends and avoiding immediate promotions,to build trust. Now my content actually reaches the For You Page instead of getting shadowbanned.

I think TikTok, Facebook, and the like are using AI bots to ban accounts randomly these days. You should probably change your device. If you want to create a new account. Also, you can consider going for other options like MeWe.
