Client Re-Vibe Coded His Entire 1000+ page site in Replit…halp!
Posted by on December 30, 2025 at 6:21 pmI have a client, we'll call them…sethito's client. They discovered Replit and while it is magical, it's not *that* kind of magical. They we able to cobble together an SPA replica of their 8-year-old Wordpess site and get blog posts and pages mostly imported – but it's an SPA. I tried crawling it with both Screaming Frog and Black SEO Analzyer (I have the code since it's mine so I thought I could hack my way through a crawl) and we're only seeing 11 pages.
How would you approach this with the client? He's the "launch it then fix it" type, but I don't have a clear "fix it" path forward other than rewriting the entire site using SSR.
Thoughts? Rants? Flames? Genuine suggestions. All welcome.

I often tell clients – If I have control, I control the results. In your case it’s – You took control so you own the results. Maybe nicer phrasing. “I want to continue helping you, but I advise against this because XYZ. If you decide to proceed then I will continue to be helpful, but I’ll have less control of the results.”
