Chat tool for communicating with external clients

Posted by seohelper on October 10, 2020 at 3:02 pm

I’m looking for a slack type chatting/collaborating tool that makes it easier for my clients (multiple diverse external parties) to communicate with me. What do you guys use? I feel emails are highly inefficient and just drags the topic instead of quick resolutions.

I’d suggest using Slack anyway, it’s the best! If the external parties don’t want to install the app they can aleays use the browser version instead.

Basecamp may work for your needs. You can ping people similar to texting and collaborate on projects. It is less structured than Jira for project management. It comes down to how complex the projects are. Some of my clients prefer Trello or Monday but the tasks are not very complex.

Your tool is not the issue if it’s how people respond, and what is asked drags the topic. Email is just a tool like Slack is, they work as great or not as great as the people using them.

I’ve always used slack for companies that have it. Again, I work with tech SaaS companies so they almost always have slack. I know of some people in my network that just just whatsapp or text. I almost never email my clients, it just isn’t an affective way to communicate for my needs.
