Case Interview Questions … I need your help

Posted by seohelper on August 11, 2021 at 9:07 am

    Hello fellow marketers,

So I have a case interview this week and I am working on solving it. It is for a junior digital marketing position in an agency. Now, I have some questions where I feel a bit stuck and I could really use some help from more experienced marketeers. Here are the questions:

    **First: Paid Social -Tracking.**

After some months of collaboration, key stakeholders at Mailchimp have a difficulty evaluating and understanding the effects of the Facebook stack investments on overall conversions. Our agency has been asked to educate and possibly come up with solutions to increase measurability.

    1. What would explain the large discrepancies the company observes between Google Analytics and Facebook’s own data?
    2. What KPI frameworks and measurement methodology would you recommend?

    **Second: AOV**

Mailchimp is running a campaign that has the following performance:

    ● CPC: 2.25

    ● Conversion rate: 3%

They have a cost of sales (COS) target of 30%. At what level does the Average order value (AOV) need to be in order for the client to be on target?

    **Third: CPC**

Mailchimp is running a campaign that has generated 10,000 clicks for a total cost of 25,000 kr. Furthermore, the campaign has generated the following performance:

    ● Conversion rate: 2%

    ● Average order value (AOV): 250 kr

Their optimization target is to reach a cost of sales (COS) of 40%. What should the advertiser do to reach this target?

The case is quite extensive and these are some of the questions where I feel stuck and asking for your insights and suggestions. I would really appreciate it if you guys can help and shoot me a PM if you are willing to help with the other question as that involves analyzing some data in Excel and calculating some values. I have to be done with it by Friday.

    Cheeeers,

    Mario
