Campaign has stalled the last 6 months willing to pay for someone to look at it.

We are a professional services company. I have had google ads for the last 5-6 years with really good success until last August or so. It is barely paying for itself now. We run our campaign in house with some outside help. I understand the market is experiencing this is a whole. I will be willing to pay someone $250 to have a meeting and go over my campaign and see if I am missing anything obvious.

A 5–6 year account stalling for 6 months is usually structural drift, not just “the market.”

Common causes seen in long-running accounts include:

    • Match-type expansion pulling in lower-intent queries without obvious CPC spikes

    • PMax gradually absorbing branded and high-intent traffic unless tightly segmented

    • Smart bidding optimizing toward diluted conversion actions vs the original profit drivers

    • Incremental “helpful” changes over time compounding into signal noise

Before touching bids, comparing search terms, conversion weighting, and traffic allocation against the same period last year often surfaces the leak quickly.

Hi OP I’ve been managing Google Ads for professional service companies for over 10 years with success. Meaning, not clicks but actual conversion i.e. phone calls & form submissions. I would be happy to take a look, especially if it’s for civil engineering. Please feel free to DM

If you use broad, could be a Google fluctuation matching the wrong kws in the last couple of months. Probably need to audit the entire funnel including lp and win rates.

If you can’t find anything wrong with the accounts, i reckon it might be your competitor advancing in bidding maturity.

Ive noticed massive downturn in quality over the past couple of months and its always because the accounts are bidding to leads. Nothing wrong with lead volume but the clients are complaining of decreasing quality and win rates.

I’ve started moving all clients to ECL as the standard.
