Well, I posted it for our left-leaning org, and then first got shit about how we did it wrong, and by the end of the day how we shouldn’t have posted it at all. It even sparked an open letter from a disgruntled former student. I just feel like you just can’t win with this shit. My instinct had been not to post anything, since we stay away from political stuff, but in this instance of a national uprising it seemed appropriate. Shit makes me so tired

I encouraged all of my clients to address what is happening to Black people in America. Cannabis has a deep history of racism and excessive police force and for anyone in the industry to not speak up would be incredibly deplorable, especially those who advocate for social equity and diversity in the industy. I didn’t need to here Bratz, Bon Appetit, or Nickelodeon speak up for BLM but I respect them more now for doing so. I’d recommend saying something as long as it is genuine.
